Was this Eid-ul-Fitr under COVID-19, held w.r.t SOP's {PAK and Whole Muslim World}, SINS BALOCH Blogs
I hope you all had a great time with your dearest ones on this Eid under COVID-19 at home. May you see many upcoming Eids without the fear of catching COVID-19.
Effects of EID under COVID-19
Although it was under COVID-19 restrictions so some of the people sensed the danger of catching coronavirus, and therefore kept themselves safe by locked down in their homes as much as possible.
But what was seen is that most of the families just announced get-togethers a night before Eid (commonly known as Chand Raat). This leads to a major flow of tension as most of the people haven't bought their clothes for the 3 days celebration.
An Example of Rawalpindi, Pakistan
I saw that Chor Bazaar on Misrial road, RWP was just showing a glimpse of a fish market. People were just roaming around and shopping like COVID-19 has gone to make Eid far away. It looked like if the whole of Pindi/ Islamabad accumulated there for their so important shopping at this time of 2nd wave. Corona must be thinking where should I pass through haha.
Eid-ul-Fitr 2020
And then here comes the Eid day-1 in Pakistan and most of the Muslim world. People, after seeing their loved ones after a long long time, just forget the SOP’s implemented by the federal cabinet. Some are hugging each other, others are handshaking, while some are just greeting at a distance. Although it is our tradition, on the whole, most of them just presented themselves like bailed out prisoners after a major part of their life spent in prisons.
But then here comes the people who are born to sleep. I mean its the first time I’ll appreciate those sleeping beauties. The portion of people who used to spend every Eid like this was appreciated throughout the media, whether it was a broadcasting TV or any social platform. Thus, they must have felt proud of their action for the first time.
Intentions of Human Beings
Well, however, it was, how it appeared to be? varies from person to person. Its a human nature that we wanna meet our loved ones especially on joyful events, whether it is Christmas, Eid, Easter, Holi, Diwali e.t.c.
Let's just admit it that we all interacted in some way or the other during this holy festival. Let’s be true to ourselves, make a promise (not the pinky one haha) to keep ourselves grounded as long as that dreadful virus of Coronavirus is out there.
Even though, a number of days past after Eid, many people would be returning back to their work by tomorrow. So, have a great week ahead and remember me in your prayers.
