COVID-19 and Back to Home [Eid-ul-Fitr 2020, Pakistan] | SINS BALOCH Blogs

Many congratulations to all of you for the coming festival of Eid-ul-Fitr, although this would be an Eid with the circumstances of COVID-19.

Divisions of Life Due to COVID-19

Past

I remember that back then, there were unending lines and lines waiting to leave Islamabad during these days (before Eid) as most of them were going to their native homelands to meet their loved ones after a huge span of time.

There used to be a big smile on their faces and delighted hearts. It looked like if they are gonna get paradise in this Earth today, whether they be hostelites, employers, state representatives, labourers or executives. Islamabad appeared deserted as if life never came there, at the time of Eid except few natives of Chira and surroundings.

Present

Muslims spent this Ramadan in quarantine, packed in their homes. Today when it was the last working day before official Eid holidays, Kashmir Highway, Islamabad Expressway, GT road just seem like another working day with nothing special to see.

What causes this loneliness on the well known highways of the capital territory??
Most of you would answer due to COVID-19 or the corona virus pandemic, right?

Well if you guys ask me it wasn't the only cause or it triggers further more effects which lead to this situation.

Causes of Terse Traffic in Islamabad

 Some of them are listed beneath;
  1. Most of the people weren't able to come back to the beautiful city because of the fear of catching corona.
  2. Majority didn't made for Islamabad or cannot make it to go back home, as their was no public transport carrying their services. Nor they are now (majority of them), to show protest towards serious restrictions from the federal government regarding allotment of seats and fixed rates.
  3. Some of them are postponing their programs to their villages, other tourist points etc. due to shortage of money.
  4. A major portion of them just recently came back from their homes as the lockdown restrictions were eased a week ago.
  5. Many sensed this time of Eid as the opportunity for reviving their small/large businesses or industries.

So you saw how different perspectives caused the dearth of traffic on the Highways of major big cities of Pakistan as well as all over the world, at this time of Eid and corona virus pandemic.

Family Oriented Pakistanis

But it was clearly seen that the traffic was more than usual since the outbreak of COVID-19. This proves that whatever the situation, whatever the circumstances, Pakistanis and Asians are always their for their loved ones at the time of major celebrations unlike west.

Lahore, Karachi etc. are seeing the same fate but to a relatively lower degree than Islamabad/ Rawalpindi.

What's Your Stance?

What are your thoughts regarding today's topic. Are you going to meet your dearest ones this eid, and if yes, which transport or way you are going to use?

I am waiting for your answers down below in the comment section.

Once again advance Eid mubarak to every Muslim out there.

Was this Eid-ul-Fitr under COVID-19, held w.r.t SOP's {PAK and Whole Muslim World}, SINS BALOCH Blogs

I hope you all had a great time with your dearest ones on this Eid under COVID-19 at home. May you see many upcoming Eids without the fear of catching COVID-19. Effects of EID under COVID-19 Although it was under COVID-19 restrictions so some of the people sensed the danger of catching coronavirus, and therefore kept themselves safe by locked down in their homes as much as possible. But what was seen is that most of the families just announced get-togethers a night before Eid (commonly known as Chand Raat). This leads to a major flow of tension as most of the people haven't bought their clothes for the 3 days celebration. An Example of Rawalpindi, Pakistan I saw that Chor Bazaar on Misrial road, RWP was just showing a glimpse of a fish market. People were just roaming around and shopping like COVID-19 has gone to make Eid far away. It looked like if the whole of Pindi/ Islamabad accumulated there for their so important shopping at this time of 2nd wave. Corona must be thinking wher...

I know that most of you are going through difficult times these days, both economically and socially, also due to recent dreadful 2nd wave of COVID-19. My empathy is with all directly/indirectly affected by atrocities of corona virus. So let's just discuss this situation around the globe and especially in Pakistan. Up-to-date Statistics First,  Globally ;   Confirmed   Recovered   Deaths   Cases per 1 million  4.37M 1.56M  298K  562  Secondly, Pakistan;   Confirmed   Recovered    Deaths     Cases per 1 million   35,788 9,695  770  163 One's thinking suggest him to remain quarantined, however, majority of world leaders announced lift of lockdown in their respective states. Timber Hawkeye said, "You are not stuck at home, you are safe at home. One word can change your attitude, and one cough can change your life." What has caused them to do this? No one clearly knows or just understands it...
