COVID-19 [Corona Virus] and Ramadan

If we look at one side, it is the time for Muslims' religious month of  Ramadan while on the other side corona is there to sadden the whole situation.
A lot of people are wondering or praying to enjoy the blessings this Ramadan like they have enjoyed and prayed congregational prayers and reciting Holy Quran especially in last 10 days of Ramadan  in mosques for the whole of their lives. Today I'll discuss some major differences between Ramadan before COVID-19 and Ramadan now;

Ramadan Before COVID-19:

  1. People used to offer 5 times prayers in mosques.
  2. There were thousands out their ready to provide sehri/iftar for millions on roads, mosques.
  3. There were joint iftaris and great family gatherings.
  4. There were outdoor games in by-lanes and grounds all night.
  5. Tarawih prayers were offered in presence of a huge mass of people.

Ramadan Now:

  1. No huge gatherings in mosques. Physical distance of 6 feet is suggested.
  2. No outdoor games at night as the law enforcers are strictly guided for there stoppage.
  3. Little iftar parties and family gatherings out there
  4. Pray at homes
  5. Limited amount of iftari/sehri distributed for downtrodden and beggars
  6. And the most considerable for Muslims nowadays, the Hajj has stopped
We all pray in the name of Allah Almighty to lift this curse from mankind ASAP. Although the condition is getting better in Pakistan and all over the world, we must save ourselves from this pandemic and adopt health measures.

Allah says in Quran;
Ramadan is the month in which we sent down the Quran (02:185)
So keep praying and remember me in your prayers.

    1. I think congregational prayers should not be allowed and if allowed for the blessed month of Ramadan, specific measures should be taken. We cannot risk more lives.

COVID-19 and Back to Home [Eid-ul-Fitr 2020, Pakistan] | SINS BALOCH Blogs

Many congratulations to all of you for the coming festival of Eid-ul-Fitr, although this would be an Eid with the circumstances of COVID-19. Divisions of Life Due to COVID-19 Past I remember that back then, there were unending lines and lines waiting to leave Islamabad during these days (before Eid) as most of them were going to their native homelands to meet their loved ones after a huge span of time. There used to be a big smile on their faces and delighted hearts. It looked like if they are gonna get paradise in this Earth today, whether they be hostelites, employers, state representatives, labourers or executives. Islamabad appeared deserted as if life never came there, at the time of Eid except few natives of Chira and surroundings.                                                                ...

I hope you all had a great time with your dearest ones on this Eid under COVID-19 at home. May you see many upcoming Eids without the fear of catching COVID-19. Effects of EID under COVID-19 Although it was under COVID-19 restrictions so some of the people sensed the danger of catching coronavirus, and therefore kept themselves safe by locked down in their homes as much as possible. But what was seen is that most of the families just announced get-togethers a night before Eid (commonly known as Chand Raat). This leads to a major flow of tension as most of the people haven't bought their clothes for the 3 days celebration. An Example of Rawalpindi, Pakistan I saw that Chor Bazaar on Misrial road, RWP was just showing a glimpse of a fish market. People were just roaming around and shopping like COVID-19 has gone to make Eid far away. It looked like if the whole of Pindi/ Islamabad accumulated there for their so important shopping at this time of 2nd wave. Corona must be thinking wher...

Timber Hawkeye said, "You are not stuck at home, you are safe at home. One word can change your attitude, and one cough can change your life." What has caused them to do this? No one clearly knows or just understands it...
